Simple Ways to Prevent Tangles

Bonjour Dah-ling!

It’s no secret that dealing with hair tangles and knots is an absolute pain. Whether you have short or long hair, tangles seem always to find their way back to our precious locks. The worst part? Not only do they cause hair breakage, but the process of untangling is both time-consuming and painful – but not for long! We’ve got a few tips and some of our favourite products to keep your hair comb-happy and tangle-free.

Use an ultra-hydrating conditioner to help restore moisture back into your tresses to repair split ends, dryness, and frizz. Starting at the ends, work conditioner through hair up to your scalp and let it sit for up to a minute before rinsing. Looking for an extra moisture boost? Our Number 4 Hydrating Conditioner paired with our Number 4 Hydrating Shampoo will give your hair the extra moisture and shine it needs in no time!

If you’re battling damaged hair, using a brush will only make it worse! Our wide tooth Number 4 Detangling Comb was designed specifically to keep your tresses beautiful and tangle-free. Combing through may take a little more time, but it is much healthier for your hair. Not only will it remove the tangles more efficiently, but you will also protect your hair from further damage. Patiently start at the bottom of the knot, and work your way up until hair is combed through completely.

Moisturize your hair as often as you can and as often as your hair needs it. Adding a hair mask to your beauty routine will help keep your hair healthy, moisturized, and tangle-free. We recommend using our Number 4 Reconstructing Masque after shampooing. Distribute evenly on wet hair, starting at the ends and working up to the scalp, wait 2-5 minutes, and rinse. You’ll notice your tresses become stronger and shinier with consistent treatment.
